Welcome to our class page
Here you’ll find an overview of what the children will be learning each week. This will give you a little insight into the themes we are exploring, the skills being developed and the exciting experiences planned as learning unfolds across the curriculum.

Week Commencing 1 February 2026

In Year 2, we will be learning about a range of exciting topics
across the curriculum. In Science, we will be taking part in the School
Birdwatch, where the children will observe and identify different birds.
In Maths, we will be solving multiplication and division calculations, as well as
simple problems using arrays and bar models.

In English, we will be starting our new text, 'The Owl Who Was Afraid of the Dark', which will inspire our reading and writing activities.
In Geography, we will be exploring the continents of Australia and Africa,
learning about their key features. In Art, we will be developing our clay
techniques to create Wrekin Giant sculptures. In History, we will be learning
more about the life and achievements of Christopher Columbus.
